1. Llyn Gwynant Campsite
Llyn Gwynant Campsite, a magnificent lakeside location in the heart of Snowdonia, is at the top of the list. It’s a short walk from Snowdon’s base, so it’s a perfect spot to stay if you’re trekking up the mountain.
The lake is a popular site for watersports such as kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, and rafts, all of which may be rented. You may also participate in lakeside yoga sessions or yoga SUP sessions!
2. Hawarden Estate
With their new luxury family campground in North Wales, Hawarden Estate provides a whole different type of camping. For years, the farm shop has been a favourite gathering place, not just for locally produced goods but also for organizing events.
They have now built a beautiful campground where you may pitch your tent or choose one of their stunning bell tents due to popular demand.
3. Nantcol Waterfalls
This charming North Wales campground is one of the more important sites on my list, so there is plenty of amenities and a friendly, family vibe. Not only that, but each pitch is just a short walk away from the river and waterfalls!
You’ll fall asleep to the calm swoosh of the river and wake up to a refreshing plunge! Kids will like the rope swings that will launch them into the ocean, while parents will appreciate the laid-back atmosphere of the location.
4. Smugglers Cove
Smuggler’s Cove is situated next to an RSPB bird reserve and has been utilized as a shooting site for BBC’s Springwatch due to its abundance of wildlife. If you wish to stay at this popular North Wales campsite, you’ll need to book ahead of time.
Since there are only three sites on the edge of the Dyfi Estuary! Each site is completely private and includes a bonfire, a lovely addition since many campgrounds no longer allow it.
5. Aberafon
OK, it’s another oceanfront camping on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales, and we may be prejudiced, but this is the most beautiful and undervalued section of Wales. It’s another location on a cliff-top with a long, sandy beach view.
There is an electric hookup here and a holiday cottage for rent.
6. Treheli Farm
Treheli Farm Campground in North Wales is a beautiful cliff-top campsite located ideally above Porth Neigwl/Mouth. Hell’s The stunning coastline provides an ideal setting for camping. It’s a small campsite with no electricity or internet.
But what more do you need when you have a beach like this just outside your door?
7. Barmouth Bay Holiday Park
The on-site amenities include an indoor pool, an adventure playground, and a sports court, but the primary draw is the surrounding region. There’s a large open sandy beach on one way, while on the other, there are Snowdonia’s mountains.

During the summer, they conduct outdoor film screenings. There is no bar or restaurant on-site, although there are a few eateries within walking distance.
8. Haven Hafan Y Mor
It offers many activities to do on-site to keep the kids entertained. A giant indoor swimming pool with a four-lane waterslide and a splash zone is available, as is Nature Rockz, which includes activities such as survival skills and insect hunts.
Haven operates seven vacation parks in Wales, with three in the north and four in the south. Haven’s Hafan y Môr Holiday Park, one of the largest caravan sites in the UK, is one of the North Wales parks.

Prestatyn has three beaches connected by a four-mile-long promenade, making it perfect for a stroll along the seashore with children.
There are lots to do in the surrounding region, including visiting the eerie Great Orme Mines. The mines, which our ancient predecessors used to extract copper, are the world’s most significant of their sort.
